We all have our favorite place to store our digital photos, but one of the better ones is Google Photos. This is the perfect app for so many of you to backup those important images. However, there is one drawback, and that is having to keep those images stored below 16 megapixel.
The good news is, this tool is free, and the latest Google Photos update now supports Live Photos for iOS users.
What’s new with Google Photos for iOS version 1.8.0 – It’s certainly not just about Back up and Live Photos, as the app now comes with improved navigation, reduced cache usage to help devices that are running low on storage, iPad pro support and also Split View for iPads. Apart from that, there are just general performance enhancements to help give the user a better experience.
From all of those new features above, we know that support for Live Photos will be the more popular one, although only for those that have an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus. Having said that, we are sure that the new iPad expected to be released this month will also support that feature – or that is the hope anyway.
We highly doubt that the new, smaller iPhone rumored to be released this month will come with Live Photos support – although you never know, Apple could surprise us.
