Destiny servers down for shock six hour maintenance on Feb 4

By Alan Ng - Feb 4, 2016

Destiny players are not going to be happy on Thursday if they had planned a session during the early hours of the day. Destiny servers are now down on February 4, 2016 and won’t be back up until six hours later.

It’s not a joke either, some of you may not have got the memo but Bungie already gave heads-up of this hours ago and have confirmed it is scheduled maintenance on the Destiny servers.

As far as we’re aware, there is no new Destiny update or huge patch being prepared – it is purely to fix issues on Bungie’s end which is serious enough for them to bring the entire game down for as long as six hours.

Confirmation of the Destiny maintenance times for Feb 4 can be seen above, with the game down as of 8am Pacific Time and back up at 2pm Pacific Time. It is obviously a nightmare for Destiny players in Europe as it is a major inconvenience with servers down from 4PM to 10PM UK time in the evening.

If you live in the UK and planned to play after dinner, forget it as you won’t be able to sign into the Destiny servers right now.

Is Destiny down for you right now? Bungie can’t please everyone with the maintenance times obviously, but are you unhappy that it is six hours nevertheless?
