Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC PS3, Xbox 360 release date reality

We know that some are already aware of this, but it appears that many are still under the impression that Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Let us make it clear now that this is not the case sadly. Activision confirmed late last year that there will be no Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC PS3 or Xbox 360 release date, due to hardware constraints on the older generation consoles.

If there ever was a wake up call that now is the time to consider an upgrade to PS4 or Xbox One, now is that time with Black Ops 3 DLC no longer possible on PS3 or Xbox 360.

Activision has not come out and made a big statement on this as you can imagine, but it is definitely confirmed that old gen won’t be supported when it comes to post release content.

For those wondering, Advanced Warfare from Sledgehammer games did support DLC on PS3 and Xbox 360 with all four map packs available on last gen.

This means that it has been a new decision made by Treyarch and Activision for Black Ops 3 and it will probably mean that there will not be any DLC for future Call of Duty games on last-gen from the likes of Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer either.

Some of you obviously saw this coming sooner or later, but is it still a harsh reality for you? Is there anyone out there who bought Black Ops 3 on PS3 or Xbox 360 with DLC in mind?
