We have already told you about the next zombie map that is on the way early next year, but now we can talk about the rest of the content with the recent unveiling of the Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC Map Pack 1.
As usual, Treyarch will be offering four new multiplayer maps and one new zombie map to follow on from Shadows of Evil.
The four new multiplayer maps are Rise, Splash, Skyjacked and Gauntlet. You can see preview images of each map and also the new zombie map Der Eisendrachen below.
There is no Awakening DLC gameplay trailer yet and we don’t know the official Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC release date other than ‘early 2016’.
What we can tell you though is that Activision stick to a strict release date pattern when it comes to post release DLC. Reckoning was the first DLC for Black Ops 2 and this launched on January 29, 2013.
At the start of the year, the Havoc pack for Advanced Warfare was launched on January 27. So sticking to the same schedule, the release date for Black Ops 3 Awakening should be on January 26, 2016 – the last Tuesday in January which follows similar patterns for first DLC 1 releases for Black Ops 2 and Advanced Warfare in the past.
We could be wrong of course and we’ll update this if so, but we believe that this is a pretty safe bet. Let us know if you are excited for the first content pack and which map from the five above you are most happy about.
