Japfest 2016 dates and new location

By Peter Chubb - Dec 1, 2015

People are already looking for the Japfest 2016 dates, even though the Japanese car event is only for one day, although you can camp the night before to make sure you do not have to worry about traveling on the day.

We can tell you that the Japfest 2016 date is April 24th, and that the event will be moved to a new venue, and that is Silverstone, the home of British Motor Sport.

The decision was made to move the event to Silverstone because this year’s event drew in a massive 16,000 attendees, along with 3,500 cars being put on display at Castle Combe on Saturday 16th May 2015.

It is the hope of moving it to a new, larger venue that it will bring in larger crowds, and also the fact the event just keeps growing with each year that it is on.

Japfest 2016 location

For those of you that are unable to make Japfest at Silverstone in May, you could always go to Japfest Rock, which is the new name for Japfest 2. This is being held at Rockingham Motor Speedway on June 26th.

There is to also be a third event called Japfest Motorsport Heroes, which is being held at the Hop Farm near Paddock Wood, Kent on September 11, 2016.
