2017 Ford Super Duty truck range bringing new jobs

By Peter Chubb - Dec 1, 2015

Production of the 2017 Ford Super Duty truck range means that the carmaker is to invest $1.3 billion at the Kentucky Truck Plant, and will create 2,000 new jobs. This will be a huge boost to Louisville, which is where the 2017 F-250, F-350, F-450 Super Duty trucks will be built.

One of the reasons why such a huge investment is because these are the new aluminum-body Super Duty trucks, and so require a new body shop, upgrades to certain parts of the facility, and also a lot of retooling because of these new models.

The 2017 F-Series Super Duty pickup trucks are said to be the toughest yet, which is mostly down to its all-aluminum design, although it also helps reduce weight as well.

Like we said above, there are three models, and these are the F-250, F-350, and F-450, all of which come in five trim options. These are XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum.

What’s the use of having the toughest Super Duty trucks if they do not have the grunt to back them up? It’s for this reason why Ford offers a choice of engines, and these are the 6.2L V8, 6.8L V10, and a 6.7L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8. It’s great to have such a choice of power plants, as people have different needs.

2017 Ford Super Duty truck production is to begin in late 2016, and so we ask you visit Ford for more details.
