For those that are still not aware, we are pleased to confirm that in a matter of hours, Rockstar will be releasing GTA V Online Thanksgiving Day update bonuses which will be live in conjunction with the new Running Mode added recently to server playlists.
This is going to serve up a new treat for loyal players over the festive period and is a mix between American Football as the name suggestions, but also Destruction Derby too as you aim to take out the other team by any means possible.
As per Rockstar’s description of the new mode: Two teams with a maximum of 8 square off from opposing sides of a roadway. There will be a lone Runner inside a Benefactor Panto who must go the distance and get across the end zone line at the other end of the highway – with the help of their teammates who happen to be all riding BF Biftas.
Those on the defending team are also riding in Biftas and must use any means possible to stop the attacking team reaching the far end.
You’ll be able to play the new Running Mode in GTA 5 at Raton Canyon Bridge, La Mesa Bridge and Zancudo Tunnel – perhaps Rockstar will add more locations in future events.
For Thanksgiving though, Rockstar are offering various bonuses from Thursday through until Sunday, while Double GTA$ and Double RP will be available on Running Back as well.
Let us know what you think of the new mode and if this will tempt you to head back into GTA Online after previously giving the game a break to play other titles.
Is this a worth Thanksgiving Day update for GTA 5?
