With less than one month to go before Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits cinema screens, the promotion for the seventh episode will move into another gear, as the movie studio wants to really push things now. The latest of these campaigns sees a new choice for Google apps customization.

If you have a Google account all you need to do is go to, where once you are signed in you will be given a simple choice, Light Side or Dark Side. While the Dark Side is cool, we just hate evil, and so had to choose the Light Side.

Once your choice has been made you will then notice that your tabs on Google Chrome will show crashed Star Destroyers, and YouTube gets a lightsaber-colored playback bar, although this will be different if you made the choice of the Dark Side.

However, we do love the Street View marker in Maps, as instead of the usual icon, you get a Rebel Alliance pilot in its place, or a Stormtrooper if you chose evil.

Google says they will also share easter eggs for those that have changed their account theme, such as a virtual Millennium Falcon, and so much more.

For those of you that are interested, we can see at the bottom of the page is that the balance of the Force is with The Dark Side, and so you head best try to shift that balance back the other way.
