Many consumers are under the illusion that a 4K UltraHD TV is an expensive upgrade over the Full HD model, and they are right to an extent. However, prices have been dropping, with Philips models showing some of the biggest price drops in recent months. Take the Philips 55PUT6400 55″ 4K UltraHD FreeviewHD Smart Android TV for example; even though we have seen significant reductions, it seems silly that many of you are still passing it over for a Samsung or LG model.

We know what some of you are thinking, why would the price of the Philips 55PUT6400 TV keep getting slashed, and so are coming to the conclusion that it’s not very good, and cheaply made. However, if any of you know Philips, this could not be further from the truth.

The design of this model is very sleek, the bezel has a shiny finish to it, and has a high-end feel. The metal stand also helps make it feel like a premium model, although we still wonder what its image and sound quality are like.
