We have another Samsung 4K TV model to tell you about now, with the Samsung 55-inch UN55JU6400 being one of the company’s more affordable 4K TV sets available on the market now.
It currently has a retail price of around $1000, but if you are lucky you may just find it well under $1000 at certain retailers during the sales period.
With that in mind, we wanted to take a look at the key Samsung UN55JU6400 specs to see what Samsung has made available for the lower price, compared to some of their other high-end more expensive 4K TV models.
For starters, the 55-inch 4K UHD LED display features a 3840 x 2160 resolution, with UHD dimming, full array LED-backlighting and UHD upscaling.
This model has a 60Hz native refresh rate, which is advertised as usual with Samsung’s 120 Motion Rate image processing tech – it’s still 60Hz under the hood though.
There’s 3 HDMI ports, Smart TV apps with built-in WiFi, a quad-core processor, Tizen OS and 2 USB inputs. You can also use Samsung ConnectShare to instantly hook up a camcorder or other Samsung devices directly onto the TV.
One thing we did want to highlight though, is the fact that the Samsung 55-inch UN55JU6400 does not support UHD color via HDMI at 60Hz 4:4:4.
While this shouldn’t be a problem for average consumers only needing it for TV viewing, this may be a significant road block if you want to use this as a PC monitor when UHD Color is an important factor.
Check out the Samsung UN55JU6400 reviews over at Amazon here, which also highlight the fact that this model does not come with the UHD color – is this a big problem to you or not?
Let us know if you are tempted to buy this model given that it seems to be available for a great price compared to other Samsung 4K sets.
