Not into those high-end tablets, or your budget just won’t stretch that far, then you might want to think about a budget model, although you then have to ask yourself what size display would be ideal for you. If a 7-inch display is too small, and 10 inches is too large, then 8-9 will be that sweet spot. Two models that could be right for you are the Polaroid 9″ A900XBK tablet with Bluetooth Keyboard, and the RCA 8″ RCT6573W23 model.
You will notice that the former of the two has the added benefit of coming with a keyboard, ideal for those that need to do a lot of typing, and would grow very tired of using a virtual one. Not all places offer the Bluetooth keyboard in a bundle, although we know that stores such as Target does. This also comes with some earphones and even a stand and protective case.
The specs for the Polaroid 9-inch A900XBK tablet are as follows: A resolution of 1024 x 600 and an aspect ratio of 16:9, a 1.3GHz Rockchip processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There’s also a Micro USB 3.0 connection, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, and a built-in webcam. The operating system running the show is Android 5.0, and also comes with Google Play, Desktop and Bluetooth manager pre-installed.
If that model is not for you, then maybe the RCA 8-inch RCT6573W23 tablet might be instead. Its specs are only slightly different to the model above, and so gives you a dilemma. Take the screen resolution for example, this is only 720 x 480, although it does come with a faster 1.4GHz, Rockchip RK3188T Quad Core processor. However, you get the same 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Connections are the same, although it only runs Android 4.4, which is a lot older than 5.0.
What we do find a little strange is when looking on the Target website we see that the Polaroid tablet is around $20 cheaper than the RCA, which is strange seeing as though the former comes with a bundle, and newer mobile OS, although the latter does sport a faster processor.
