Latest Subaru Tribeca replacement details, name MIA

By Peter Chubb - Nov 10, 2015

The Tribeca stopped production in 2014 and there is already details being shared about the Subaru Tribeca replacement, although no news as of yet on its name. We do know that it will also come with a third row, and will be larger in size than the current model. However, one thing is clear, it will not keep the current model name.

Autonews has reported that the most likely name will have a outdoor adventurous theme, something that Subaru is synonymous with. It’s highly doubtful that we will hear anything for a while, seeing as though this new Subaru crossover will not go into production until 2018.

As for some of the other details that we know so far; it will will be manufactured in Indiana, along with only being sold in North America.

Subaru needs to make sure it gets this new model right and learn from the mistake made from the Tribeca, as its rear seating was cramped, hence why the need to make it larger. Sales dropped to just 1,598 in 2013, which is why it was canned.

With just over two years to go until the new model enters production, we suspect that we will start to see details of its design maybe as soon as next year, although there have been some concept images shared, such as those seen in the video below.
