Final Fantasy 7 Remake news at D23 Japan Expo

By Alan Ng - Nov 3, 2015

We have already spoke about the confirmation of seeing new Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay in a matter of hours at Japan D23 Expo 2015, but what about some fresh Final Fantasy 7 Remake news as the icing on the cake?

Many fans are only expecting Kingdom Hearts 3 as the big headline grabber at the event this week, but we would love it if Square-Enix also has a surprise in store by offering up some new information on Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

So far, the game doesn’t have an official title yet but most importantly we still don’t know the Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date.

Given the troubles that Square-Enix has endured in the past with previous FF title delays, it’s understandable if they decide to wait until the very last moment this time around before sharing that date with the world.

The FF7 Remake trailer is still fresh in the minds of gamers from E3 2015 and right now we can see that it has amassed over 12 million views on YouTube since the Summer and that is pretty amazing.

Now as far as we’re aware, there are no plans to offer a new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer at D23 Expo 2015 in Japan. The general belief is that Square-Enix are waiting until the Jump Festa 2015 event later this month in Japan to give out fresh information on the game.

We would absolutely love it though if D23 attendees had an extra surprise waiting for them on top of KH3 news. Do you see it happening since Square-Enix said that they will be ready to show new information on FF7 Remake in the Winter?

Why on earth would Final Fantasy news be at a Disney event? Step up your game.

  • FF7 has nothing to do with Disney, all they share is the director of Kingdom Hearts.
