Google Maps update v9.16 for Android changes

By Peter Chubb - Oct 20, 2015

The new Google Maps update v9.16 for Android was released yesterday, so now we know what those changes are, with one the biggest features being the ability to display stops along your route, although up-to-date gas prices is another feature of interest.

Some people have already been testing this latest Google Maps update thanks to the APK download, long before its general release to the public. This is perfect timing because people will want to take advantage of these new features during Thanksgiving, as this is the time when many families travel to spend time with each other.

Having the option to search along your route is perfect for those that like to stop, or if they have kids that get a little bored on a long journey. This means you can search for places to get more gas, grab some food or even find places of interest along the way – who said road trips have to be boring?

What else is new? – You can now compare ETAs across driving, public transport, walking & cycling far easier than before. New Google Maps logo and several bug fixes. Android Police has given this new update a thorough review, and seem positive with what Google has done, although we are sure you will find room for improvement.
