Nexus 5X Vs Xperia Z5 and Galaxy S6 for 5-inch comparison

Google made several product announcements yesterday, one of which was the Nexus 5X handset, which is aimed at rival 5-inch smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Sony Xperia Z5. There are other 5-inch Android devices for the 5X to compete with, but these are the nearest in terms of size and also two of the more popular models.

Nexus 5X Vs Xperia Z5 and Galaxy S6 comparison in terms of their specs – The 5X is also the lightest of the three devices, which is in part due to the use of more plastic in its design. The 5X has 424ppi and 1020×1080 resolution, compared to 401ppi and the same screen resolution as the Z5. However, the S6 wins out with 576ppi and a screen resolution of 2560×1440.

When it comes to the CPU the S6 and Z5 offer a clock speed of 2.5Ghz and 8 cores compared to 2.1GHz and 6 cores for the 5X. As for their memory, they are 3GB, 3GB and 2GB respectively.

Camera is one of the most important factors for a smartphone these days, and so having a decent shooter is so important. The Nexus 5X has a 12.3 megapixel sensor up front and 5MP to the rear, although it does come with some remarkable software to make it offer better photos that you would usually get from the sort of sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 16-megapixel and 5 MP compared to the impressive 23MP and 8MP camera on the Sony Xperia Z5.

It’s pretty hard to look at how they compare in terms of battery life because the Nexus 5X has the added advantage of running Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box, which we know comes with a series of features to help improve battery life. Once the other two are running the same software it will be a fairer comparison.

Which of the three handsets would you rather, and why?
