Following on from the launch of The Taken King in Destiny, we can see right away that most players are now busy finding out how to get a sword in The Taken King.

You heard that correctly. Players can now unlock a Destiny sword quest in The Taken King to obtain a legendary sword that looks amazing both in design and when using it in combat.

Fortunately, it isn’t too difficult to acquire and we now have a heads-up for you on how to get the sword in Destiny.

Firstly, you will want to unlock the ‘A Broken Will’ quest in Destiny. To do this you have to complete the main quests, which will in turn unlock additional quests from Eris Morn.

One of them requires to you get 5 Calcified Fragments in Destiny – To make it easier for you, we have found this excellent Calcified Fragments locations in Destiny guide for you to follow.

One you have done that, you’ll then get the A Broken Will quest from Eris Morn and this is the one you need for the sword. However, you’ll then need to do more item hunting for Lord Shaxx- namely finding 25 Hadium Flakes in Destiny and also 10 Mote of Light.

For those asking how to get Hadium Flakes in Destiny, these are a new consumable item from The Taken King, which are located inside chests on the Dreadnaught.

This part of the process will take you a while, since each chest only contains one Hadium Flake – the chests do respawn however so it is not too bad.

Once you have completed this stage, head back to Lord Shaxx and get ready for the excitement. You then can choose from three legendary swords in Destiny- the Arc Edge, the Soul Edge and the Void Edge.

However, you are not done just yet. To pick either weapon you need additional materials, these are 25 Spinmetal for Arc Edge, 25 Helium Filaments for Soul Edge and Relic Iron if you opt for the Void Edge.

That is it though – Present those items and the swords are yours so choose wisely. Let us know if our guide helped you and which sword you chose in the end.

Stay tuned for more information, as we’re hearing that you can also upgrade legendary swords to exotic in Destiny so that is going to be well worth doing too.
