Carphone Warehouse upgrade check app for EE, O2 desired

By Peter Chubb - Sep 3, 2015

Now that we are in a new month, people will be running a Carphone Warehouse upgrade check for September, most of which will either be going to the website, or in to the store. However, most people will want to use the Carphone Warehouse app to check to see if they are eligible for an upgrade.

What we do find very strange is the fact that the UK mobile phone specialist has not updated its own iOS app since January. We do presume that a Carphone Warehouse app update will happen this month to allow it to work better with iOS 9.

EE and O2 upgrade check

We have to say that the app is limited in the way that you cannot check to see if you can get an upgrade, as you can only check to see how much your handset is worth. This is because the app is called Cell-it, and so not a fully-fledged Carphone Warehouse app as such. This means that if you want to see if you are due an O2 upgrade, the you will need to visit the website.

You can do so by going to this page, where you will need to enter your number and network, which should then tell you if you can get an EE upgrade today. You will have to enter the text that you see on the page as a security measure, as it just needs to know that you are a real person looking to get a Vodafone upgrade.

Come on Carphone Warehouse, it’s about time you developed a full-on app instead of people having to always visit your website from their mobile device.
