PS Plus UK price increase as of September 2015

By Alan Ng - Aug 11, 2015

We have some important news to bring to our UK readers now, although it’s not good news sadly. Sony has confirmed that as of September 1 2015, the price for a PS Plus subscription is going to be increased.

Sony hasn’t revealed what the new price will be yet, but they have said that will affect one month and three month subscriptions only.

That means that if you have the 12-month package you are safe and won’t be affected by this change. The reasons for Sony increasing the price are due to ‘market conditions’ but maintained that those paying will still be getting “an unparalleled experience” which will have the “best quality games and features.”

Since many of you usually opt for 12 month packages, this is a non-issue for you. However if your current subscription is up and you were hoping to get a 1 month or 3 month package in time for the PS Plus September 2015 games, you’ll have to pay a little more this time around.

What are your thoughts on this as a UK gamer?
Are you happy to pay a little extra for what still is a very cheap package offering value for money?

Don’t forget that the big game available for free right now is Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris – download it now if you haven’t.
