Windows update troubleshooter for 7, 8.1 upgrading to 10

Today is the day that you can update Windows 7, and 8.1 to Windows 10, but the process is not going according to plan for some, which we discussed earlier today. It is nothing new for a computer to have problems installing an update, although this is a bit of a blow for Microsoft, as it has been years in the planning, and wanted today to go smoothly.

Windows update troubleshooter is the one tool that you need if you are having any Windows 10 update problems. There are two versions to download, one if you are updating Windows 7 to 10, and 8.1/RT 8.1 to the latest version of Microsoft’s desktop operating system.

Once you open the Windows Update troubleshooter you might be able to automatically fix a few of the problems stopping you from being able to update to Windows 10. Having said that, there are a few solutions here to some of the common problems stopping the update process.

I have still not been able to update my Windows 7 laptop, as it cannot get passed the update stage. One issue is that it has not been used in a while and shows 108 updates, but keeps turning off after hanging for more than 20 minutes.
