We say this because Windows 10 will be released to the public at the end of the month, and all attention will be on that new version, along with Windows 8.1.

We are not certain how long the latest Microsoft Security Essentials will be available to download for, so what are you waiting on, get it downloaded and installed on your system today.

Latest MSE update

The minimum system requirements for this MSE update version 4.8.0204.0 for Windows 7 and Windows Vista are at least Service Pack 1 or 2 for Windows 7, and you need to have a PC with at least a 1GHz processor or higher, 1GB of RAM or more, VGA display of 800 × 600 or higher and at least 200MB of free space of storage.

If you find that you do use the Internet a lot, then you should certainly consider this download. There are however two files that you can download; if you go here you will then be able to choose the file that you need.
