Monster Hunter X 2016 release hopes for US, UK

By Alan Ng - Jun 1, 2015

We are happy to reveal that another new Monster Hunter game is on the way. Nintendo and Capcom have just unleashed Monster Hunter X to the world, but those wanting to actually play it in the West may have to wait until 2016 or 2017 to do so.

As usual, Capcom will be looking after their Japanese gamers first – the hardcore fanatics of the Monster Hunter franchise. The game has been scheduled for a launch in Winter 2015 in Japan and will be exclusive to Nintendo 3DS owners – so no Wii U version.

Hopefully this means that we will see a Monster Hunter X US and UK release date sometime in 2016, but even then Capcom may not be ready until 2017 – let’s not think about that yet.

For now, feast your eyes on the wonderful debut trailer that we have for you below. It premiered at the Nintendo Direct even hours ago and we have to say that it is looking amazing for a 3DS game.

The environments look gorgeous and just imagine when you are playing this on the 3DS screen – it’s going to look so vibrant and feel like you are playing a console game.

Watch the trailer for yourself and let us know your initial reaction to the game. Do you think that Capcom can get this ready for a release in the UK and US in 2016, or is 2017 more realistic?
