Sky expands kids TV shows for free to customers

By Peter Chubb - May 21, 2015

Sky is not silly, as they know if they offer an improved service for children, then their customers are more likely to stay with them, and also bring in new customers. Sky TV has come under huge pressure over the past few years with the likes of Netflix, and so knew that a change had to come.

That change means that Sky has expanded its kids TV shows by a massive 600 per cent, and the good news, this extra library of content is free to Sky customers.

Over the course of the next few days you will notice an update to your Sky box, which will add a new section to its homepage. This new section will just be named kids, and when you select it you will have access to not 700 children’s shows on-demand like before, but around 4,000 instead.

However, this number will not happen overnight, as it will be a slow rollout over the coming months. However, you know that once schools break up for the summer, most of this library of content should be ready for your children to watch at their leisure.

If you have moved away from Sky, do you think this improved service for kids will persuade you to come back?
