This is because you can now do far more with a tablet nowadays, and even more so once the likes of the rumored iPad Pro will be released later this year. However, what about those of you on a budget, it does not mean you have to sacrifice too much in the way of productivity, as there are some great options available for consumers in India.
We thought we would take a look at the best budget tablets in India for those of you looking to use them for entertainment, productivity and gaming.

You cannot look at a budget tablet for the Indian consumer without mentioning the Apple iPad mini 2. This model is slightly more expensive at Rs 21,900, and we know that its processor and RAM is not as high as the other two tablets above. However, Apple makes great use of its hardware and software, and so performance is far better for it. If you have yet to get one of these, then we can tell you that it has a 7.9-inch display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution. You will also been pleased to know that it has been made from aluminum, and not mostly of plastic. For more details visit Apple.in.
Finally, we have to mention the Lenovo Miix 3 because it offers the best of both worlds. It has the largest display of the four tablets, at 10 inches and a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. As for price, you should expect to pay about Rs 19,999, and for this you get a 1.83GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
