Mortal Kombat X Klassic Reptile isn’t Human Ninja skin

By Alan Ng - May 15, 2015

As we told you hours ago, NetherRealm Studios just went live with the 1.05 patch on PS4. As usual, there’s also another free skin to enjoy and this time it is Reptile.

After NetherRealm gave everyone a free Sub-Zero skin, we can now see that the Klassic Reptile skin for Mortal Kombat X is now available too.

For those that haven’t seen it yet, specifically Xbox owners since the Mortal Kombat X 1.05 update for Xbox One isn’t out yet, we can confirm that the skin doesn’t bring Reptile back to his Human form as we’ve seen in previous games.

In Mortal Kombat 9, classic Reptile had a white body which was more akin to his UMK3 days. However with the Mortal Kombat X skin, he retains his lizard arms but wears the classic ninja suit.

You can still see the lizard face and eyes in the suit though, rather than a fully covered mask which some of you may have been expecting to see from a klassic skin.

We can see that there’s divided opinion on the new look, from those who say that it should have been closer to Reptile from Mortal Kombat II, but also praise from those who are happy with NetherRealm giving Reptile another completely different design.
