PSN planned maintenance for May 11 to 12

By Daniel Chubb - May 6, 2015

As reported on our PSN down and status page, Sony has revealed the next planned PSN maintenance that takes place on May 11 to 12, 2015. Like the previous schedules, you will want to sign into your account before the outage starts so you will be able to play online.

Sony highlight the fact that PS3 owners need to have “recently” signed in, but PS4 owners need to sign in within the last 24 hours before PSN maintenance starts.

There’s a number of services being taken offline and Sony highlighted these on the official PSN status page. If you use Video Unlimited, Account Management, and the PlayStation Store regularly, then you will likely see problems on May 11.

What’s the PSN maintenance start time on May 11? Times could be subject to change, but at the time of writing Sony explained the planned PSN maintenance will start at 2:30am in the UK (GMT), or 7:30PM PDT. If everything goes to plan, then online services should come back up on May 12 at 12PM GMT (Midnight), or 5AM PDT.

If Sony is late bringing everything back online, or you have other problems with PSN and games then leave a comment below.
