Mortal Kombat X Jason no content problem easily fixed

By Daniel Chubb - May 6, 2015

Jason Voorhees is now live as a playable character in Mortal Kombat X, but downloading this new character isn’t so simple for thousands of Kombat Pack owners. The Mortal Kombat X 1.04 update delivered some improvements for online play, as seen in the tiny patch notes, and allowed for everyone to see the Jason option when selecting a character.

When you click Jason Voorhees you are asked to purchase the character, although this is free to everyone that purchased the Kombat pack. Since we also made this purchase for review purposes, it shocked us to meet an error message that states “There is no content, it might not be for sale yet, or might no longer be for sale”.

Do you have problems downloading Jason in Mortal Kombat X? We already know this issue has impacted thousands of others, and one reported the same error on our problems page for Mortal Kombat X.

While there’s nothing wrong with game servers, it’s clear from tweets and forums posts that thousands have the very same glitch. We expect the 1.05 MKX update to fix this issue, but for now just head directly to the PlayStation Store and download Jason from there, as it works. Trying to install within the character selection menu gives the “no content” error at this time.

While this fixed my issue with downloading jason, the developers need to release the next update right away to fix this.

The Kombat Pack is glitched for me too, I cannot download the content due to it not being for sale yet but I know this isnt the case. I will try the PS Store now.
