New HP Pavilion x360 Vs Surface 3 for flexibility

By Peter Chubb - Apr 22, 2015

There is no denying that the new Spectre x360 convertible laptop from HP is a truly remarkable product, although its price is a little too steep for many of you. However, the company does have another option available to you, and that is the 2015 Pavilion x360.

What we find most interesting is the Pavilion x360 price, as it starts at just $410, which makes this 11-inch device around $100 less than the Surface 3, and that is without adding on the extra price Microsoft charges for the keyboard, which is a further $130.

HP Pavilion x360 Vs Surface 3 – We suspect that when it comes to people comparing which of these two devices will best suit them, it will not be all about the price, but rather flexibility.

You could go with the convertible laptop at an affordable price and great specs, along with an improved hinge mechanism and a possible 8 hour battery life, then the new Pavilion x360 is certainly worth the consideration. Having said that, you need be weary of the bulky, heavy design and thin viewing angles.

The Surface 3 is also a good option because it brings some of the best bits from the Pro 3, although for a lower price. You may also like the design, display and the Micro-USB charging. However, all is not perfect, as the specs could be considered insufficient, and you have to add that $130 on top of the price to get a keyboard – which could be a deciding factor.

If you had to choose between these two, which would get your vote?

All you have to do is hold the Surface 3 in hand and the debate is over. It’s so amazingly thin and light compared to the HP. And the tablet isn’t attached to the keyboard. I mean, come on. Is there really any contest here?
