Another Surface Pro 3 price drop hints 4th-generation

If you were on the look out for a new tablet, then you could not have chosen a better time, as Microsoft has decided to offer yet another Surface Pro 3 price drop. While this is great news for those looking to save a few dollars, there is something else to consider; this could be a hint that the 4th-generation model could be announced in the near future.

While most recent rumors would suggest the Surface Pro 4 released date will be this summer, we are not too far away, and so Microsoft will be looking to offload stock if they have over produced, or if sales have slowed enough to cause a backup of stock.

Back to the news of this price cut, and we just have to warn you that it is not for the base model, as that stays at $799. However, the 128GB / Intel Core i5 – 1.9GHz / 4GB RAM model has been reduced by $100 and so costs $899.

As for the 256GB / Intel Core i5 – 1.9GHz / 8GB RAM version, this now costs $1,149.00 rather than $1,299. Finally, there are the 256GB and 512GB / Intel Core i7 – 1.7GHz / 8GB RAM versions that now cost $1,399 and $1,799 rather than $1,549 and $1.949 respectively.

According to the Microsoft US Store, this promotion ends on April 27, which is next Monday.
