Doubling Apple Watch battery life has its drawback

By Peter Chubb - Apr 14, 2015

Whenever Apple releases a new product they always have an issue with its battery life, although this is always to be expected with a first generation model. Apple tends to get on top of such issues over time, although it’s never such a huge focus at first, and while some would see this as bad business, it has done nothing to harm iPhone sales.

The reason why we mention this today is because the battery life on the new Apple Watch is not likely to compete with some of the other smartwatches currently on the market. However, if this is an important feature to you, there are ways to get more life.

Doubling Apple Watch battery life – There is a way to get almost twice as much life from the Apple Watch, although the only downside is that you will have to use the Wipowerband, which some of you may see as an ugly looking strap.

Wipowerband is a third-party accessory that is not like your normal strap, but instead offers a solid design, and so could become annoying if worn for too long. However, if you able to get past that issue, then you will be able to get around two days use from your Apple Watch, with prices starting at just $89.99.

That price was for the 38mm band, while the 42mm version will cost $99.99, which is just $10 more.

If you are looking for a strap that offers increased Apple Watch power and protection, along with wire-free charging, then you need look no further than the Wipowerband – well that’s what their website says.
