The new Retina MacBook for 2015 is impressive in terms of specs and external design with new iPhone-type colors in Gold, Silver, and Space Gray. This is great news for fans, but it really isn’t much good if the 2015 Retina MacBook has stock problems according to consumers trying to purchase in-store.
This led to a large number of people heading to Twitter with messages of disappointment, even if this is more to do with frustration due to the lack of Retina MacBook in-store stock. While the Apple Watch took the spotlight on the same day a new MacBook launched, it’s now clear consumers had to purchase online rather than buy in-store on launch day.
We can confirm the problems for new Retina MacBook stock are in many countries, including the UK, Canada, and USA. It’s not clear exactly what happened, but most people think the new Retina MacBook just wasn’t a priority next to the Apple Watch.
Questions started early on April 10, as some wanted to head to store for a chance of being the first to purchase. Andrew Kunesh had been one such shopper and asked if “physical Apple Stores will stock the Retina MacBook” on launch day. He later found out that Apple Stores were not stocking Retina MacBooks at launch, as seen in the tweet below.
Responses to this fact included someone in Hong Kong with this message, “A waiting time of 4 – 6 weeks is required in Hong Kong. I don’t know why Apple didn’t ready enough stock”.
So, if you want the most compact and lightest Mac notebook ever then you will need to order online and wait for now. We will update this article if the stock situation changes, but feel free to comment if you see changes before us and of course to let us know how you feel about the lack of in-store stock.
