Environmentally low-impact Apple Watch packaging

There is not long to go until people begin to get their hands on the Apple Watch, although we are sure time has started to slow down waiting to see if they have made the right choice or not. While we already know what the device itself looks like, the packaging is a different story.

For some reason people seem to be rather interested in what packaging the Apple Watch will come with, as Apple has been one of the best for hiding its products away in lovely boxes for years now. However, a new philosophy has been slowly changing that, and so we now look ahead to something with an environmentally low-impact.

We are not too sure if people will finally get to see the packaging for these devices come Friday, as this is when Apple Watch pre-orders go live. However, you don’t have to wait that long as images have been teased showing what is rumored to be the final packaging. With pre-orders going live on Friday, it is said the Edition model will be in low supply.

In the images you can see the box for the 42mm stainless steel Apple Watch, as well as for the standalone straps, and it is clear to see that Apple has not gone overboard with the design or the amount of materials used.

It really is nice to see Apple embracing simple packaging even more so now, although it still retains that high-quality finish. We have already seen a negative response, saying that it is too plain and basic, but once you have the product out of the box, what is the point of a box that has been designed to excess when it just stays locked away in a cupboard?
