SodaStream MIX solves limitations, but price a concern

By Peter Chubb - Mar 30, 2015

When it comes to SodaStream drink recipes there are limitations, as we tend to stick to the same boring flavors, although most of that is because of the design of the machine and what flavored drinks are available to us. However, all that is about to change with the release of the SodaStream MIX, as it is said to help solve those limitations, although its price could be a cause for concern.

The current batch of SodaStream makers only allows the user to carbonate water, but the release of the MIX will change all that because it will be capable of carbonating almost any sort of liquids. We know this sounds a bit strange, but it will be on show at next month’s Milan Salone del Mobile event, so we know it is the real deal.

SodaStream MIX

We do find it hard to comprehend that you will be able to make any sort of drink fizzy, so we cannot wait to see the first SodaStream MIX demonstration. The design if this new model from the drinks machine maker is the good work of famed designer Yves Behar, and so we know we are in for something very special.

However, we do have a small concern for the SodaStream MIX price, as it will not come cheap – or so we believe. This is because the technology used will need to be different in order to carbonate fluids other than water, along with the use of other such technologies, which is to include Bluetooth connectivity in order for you to use a SodaStream Android and iOS app.

The possibilitiesThe Verge has learned that you will be able to carbonate the likes of alcoholic beverages, pure fruit juices and much more, and so we expect to see some very strange concoctions once the SodaStream MIX is released to the public.
