12-inch Retina MacBook or 13-inch Pro dilemma?

By Peter Chubb - Mar 10, 2015

Well, Apple certainly made things a little tougher for those of you looking to purchase a new MacBook, as they not only gave us a minor refresh of the Air and Pro models, but also introduced an all-new MacBook as well, known as the 12-inch model.

It could certainly be a bit of a dilemma for some people because they now have a greater choice, although from what we have been hearing, more people will want to know how to choose between the 12-inch Retina MacBook or 13-inch Pro.

The thing is though, it should be a simple thought process when it comes to choosing from these two notebooks, as one is more for the average user that does not demand too much from their device, whereas the other is more of a powerhouse, especially with the new updates.

13-inch Pro dilemma

Let’s face it, the Intel Core M processor is the middle ground in terms of it performance and so is even lower than what the MacBook Air has to offer.

However, let’s not be too down on the new MacBook, because for all those that require a laptop that has a powerful i7 processor with a selection of port options, there is far more that do not require such things. It’s for that target audience that Apple is to cater for.

Is the 12-inch Retina MacBook for you, or is the new 13-inch Pro more to your liking?
