Smartwatch models likely at MWC 2015

Earlier today we had a close look at what tablets we can expect to see during the 2015 Mobile World Congress, which will no doubt be featured a great deal next week, such as early reviews and how they compare to the current versions. There is also expected to be new handsets from Samsung, HTC and many others. However, with smartwatches becoming all the more popular and with the Apple Watch release looming, we can also expect a few new smartwatch models.

Let’s get this out of the way first, Apple will not unveil its Watch at MWC next week, as that will be saved for its very own event. However, we do expect a showing from LG with its G Watch Urbane, which is related to the R model. There is so much going for this model, details of which we have already explained.

As well as the HTC One M9, the phone maker could also be about to enter the wearables market, and it would make perfect sense to launch it at the same time as its new handset.

While there is not a lot to go on, there have been whispers to suggest that Samsung could announce the release of a new Tizen OS-based smartwatch. There is also a slim chance that Huawei could get in on the wearables action as well.

The good news is, we only have a few days to go to see if any of these rumors turn out to be true, so lets cross our fingers.
