Fujifilm FinePix XP80 and XQ2 camera diversity

By Peter Chubb - Jan 15, 2015

Fujifilm decided not to use CES as a platform to announce two new camera models for 2015, and so took the opportunity to just issue a press release instead. We are not certain why this is, although we suspect they never wanted these new products to get lost in the mountain of other consumer releases during the electronics event.

With people shifting their attention to autos this week in Detroit, Fujifilm thought it would be the ideal time to announce its FinePix XP80 and XQ2 camera, as they would be able to stand out against most of the vehicle inspired announcements.

These two models are very different, which helps to show of Fujifilm’s camera diversity because they cater for very different markets.

First up we have the Fujifilm FinePix XP80, which allows you to use the camera in varying conditions, perfect if you love taking photos when it is sunny or raining. This camera is designed to be used in the elements and will deliver quality images no matter what the conditions are. Full details can be found on Fujifilm website, such as full specs, although there is currently no release date or price.

The Fujifilm XQ2 is of an ultra-compact design and comes packed with a host of features. The ability to shoot in RAW, transfer images wireless with built in WiFi and Full HD video recording with image stabilization all help top make this a great all-rounder. Once again, Fujifilm has all the details, all except availability and pricing.
