Where is Santa right now with Cortana on Windows Phone

By Peter Chubb - Dec 24, 2014

We don’t have long until you can start to track Santa, as we already know the big guy is preparing for launch. In less than two hours people will be wondering where is Santa right now and if you use Cortana on Windows Phone, then the answer will be given to you without you having to do any typing for the answer.

Microsoft is working closely with NORAD and so Cortana will get her information directly from the North American Aerospace Defense Command. There are several commands that you could ask her, such as “Where is Santa now”, although we do not yet know how she will answer once Father Christmas is in flight delivering gifts to children, as this is the first time Cortana has been used to track Santa.

While there are several websites offering a similar service, such as NORAD and Google, as well as a live map tracker, Windows Phone users might stick with Microsoft, and so you could use 3D tracking thanks to Bing.

Bing aims to make the process fun by allowing you to click on the location each time Santa stops. Users will be given fun facts and details about the locations where Saint Nick stops.

One last thing; try to give Cortana time to catch-up to where Santa is, as she will get updated information every couple of minutes or so.
