Assassin’s Creed Unity 1.04, 1.40 Patch 4 coming for PS4, PC

By Alan Ng - Dec 12, 2014

After a lengthy period without any updates, Ubisoft is back and once again talking about the next Assassin’s Creed Unity updates. This is going to be Patch 4 and specifically the Assassin’s Creed Unity 1.04 PS4 update and 1.4.0 patch for PC players.

The updates are not out yet, but as usual Ubisoft has given players advance notice to let them know that the patch 4 for Assassin’s Creed Unity is currently in progress.

As we wait for that to go live, we are pleased to bring a partial list of changes that Ubisoft are targeting in the next wave of updates. We should start with one area that immediately caught our attention – solving the Assassin’s Creed Unity CE-34878-0 PS4 error.

We have already spoke about this particular error in length, which is only happening on Sony’s new console but is not exclusive to ACU since it happens on other games too – GTA V most recently.

Ubisoft says they will be ‘resolving’ this issue in Patch 4, which is great to hear so hopefully it will put an end to the random crashes that you are frequently telling us about.

Next, Ubisoft are going to be looking specifically at fixing Assassin’s Creed Unity game crashes after loading a save. Finally, there are some key fixes coming for the Assassin’s Creed Unity Companion app as well, so make sure you check everything out in detail.

It’s nice to see Ubisoft continuing to make Assassin’s Creed Unity a better experience after the troubled launch. Let us know how your game is at the moment and if you are looking for a certain fix with the next update.

Hum… is it supposed to optmize the game to improve the shitty framerate? Or is it still just bug fixes and “improved stability”?
