We have some great Destiny news to bring you now, specificially for those who need to know how to get the Destiny Necrochasm Auto Rifle. It’s a rare weapon in the Dark Below expansion and is unique in the fact that it needs a lengthy upgrade process before you can obtain it.
The Necrochasm Exotic Auto Rifle is arguably one of the best guns you can get in Destiny’s Dark Below and probably one of the best looking weapons as well – you may have seen it shown off in various trailers prior to the launch of Bungie’s first expansion.
Now, we are going to explain step by step how to obtain it, as we know many of you have been asking how to unlock the Necrochasm in the game and we already have the exact steps for you.
First of all, you are going to need to get hold of the Husk of the Pit Common Auto Rifle, which you can get by completing the Husk Reaper hidden bounty from Eris Morn, the Dark Below’s new vendor.
Once you have it, you need to upgrade it and the Husk of the Pit upgrade items needed is a Embalming Orb, which you can get directly from Eris in exchange for 10 black wax idols – remember you need to be in favor with Eris before she’ll seal the deal.
Evolving the Husk of the Pit with the items above will grant you the Eidolon Ally, a fantastic Legendary Auto Rifle. While this weapon is good to use by itself, don’t stop there as you can upgrade this one as well!
Now it gets more difficult as the Eidolon Ally upgrade items needed are the Crux of Crota, the location of which you’ll have to obtain in the Crota’s End raid – we’ve already told you about some of the loot from this raid hours ago.
Once you have found the Crux of Crota, you can then upgrade it to the Necrochasm Exotic Auto Rifle, a beast of a weapon that deals out Arc damage for fun – it also comes with the unique Cursebringer ability too.
Hopefully, most of you did not discard the Husk of the Pit as we’re willing to bet many of you didn’t know that it could be transformed into the Necrochasm, so make sure you always check upgrade potential on every weapon.
So there we have it. Let us know if our Necrochasm upgrade guide helped you and if you already have the items required to get this weapon, especially the Crux of Crota.
