Dell XPS 27 Signature Edition gets mixed reviews

The all-in-one computer is nothing new, but it was Apple that started the craze off and we can see that the design of its iMac has influenced some of its rivals. Take the Dell XPS 27 Signature Edition All-in-One, it looks a lot like the previous generation iMac, especially when viewed from the rear.

Having said that, there is not too much you can do with the design of such a device, and so there are bound to be similarities, and you only have to look at the smartphone and tablet market. The Dell XPS 27 has a lot to offer and is perfect if you are limited on space or just want something that adds a bit of style to your office or home.

Thanks to its 27-inch Quad HD touchscreen display, which one-ups the iMac, work is made easier, although you can also kick back and enjoy a great movie thanks to the superb display quality. Details are said to be more intense, as well as seeing more content than you would with lesser computers.

Before we take a look at what owners think of their purchase we thought you might want to know some of the Dell XPS 27 Signature Edition mains specs, which starts with that 27-inch Quad HD 10-finger multi-touch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.

The processor of choice is the 3.10GHz Intel Core i7-4770S, which can be increased to 3.90GHz. Other features include 8GB of RAM, a massive 2TB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M that comes with 2GB of memory. More specs can be seen below.

Several Dell customers have given these all-in-ones mixed reviews and from what we can see one of the main reasons why some of them have scored the computer so low is because of poor customer service. Having said that, it would seem these machines are very hard to service and so each time they get repaired something else breaks.

However, many other owners are more than happy with this model and some of which made the jump from an iMac because they wanted a similar looking computer with the added benefit of a touchscreen. If you have ever owned one of these we would love to hear from you.
