Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Vs 7000 Series on Cyber Monday

By Peter Chubb - Dec 1, 2014

Dell has included the Inspiron 15 5000 and 7000 Series laptops as part of its Cyber Monday 2014 deals, and it is not as easy as choosing just two models because there are several configurations of these two models. This is because most Dell products can be upgraded with a series of options, but we are only interested in their base price during this once a year online event.

We can see two Dell Inspiron 15 5000 laptops, one is non-touch and the other has a touchscreen. So let’s take a look at the Inspiron 15 5000 Series Intel Non-Touch model first.

The standard specs are a 2.7GHz 4th Generation i5 processor with 3MB of cache and a massive 8GB of system memory. You also get a decent amount of storage with its 1TB hard drive. Some of its other features are a 15.6-inch display, Intel HD Graphics 4400, and Windows 8.1. The Touch version has exactly the same hardware, apart from its touchscreen display.

As for the Inspiron 15 7000 Series Touch this has more to offer by way of specs with its touch display, up to 3.1GHz i7 processor with 4MB of cache. You also get more RAM, with 12GB, which certainly allows for more demanding programs and windows to be run at the same time. However, all other main specs remain pretty much the same.

The price for each model is $579.99, $629.99 and $799.99, which is a saving of $270, $460 and $490 respectively. For more details on these models we ask that you visit Dell.com.
