Archos 101 XS reviews suggest terrible sound

If you are looking to get in on the surprise Cyber Monday UK deals, one place you are probably looking is Tesco. The supermarket has just wrapped up with their initial weekend sales, but now we can see that they will be offering the Archos 101 XS 10.1-inch tablet for a low price.

This follows on from ASDA who recently unveiled a great product offer with the Archos 70 7-inch tablet. Now Tesco are following suit with the Archos 101 XS which you’ll be able to pick up for just £99 – including a pickup on Monday afternoon if you order straight away.

On the whole, this looks like a fantastic offer for under £100, with some strong hardware performance thanks to Archos 101 XS specs that include a quad-core 1.5Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM.

However, in most of the Archos 101 XS reviews that we have seen, almost all are universal in their conclusion that sound quality on this tablet is not the best with the built-in speakers.

Some have even called the sound quality terrible and user reviews over on Amazon have complained that sound has actually stopped working on one of the 2 speakers after purchase.

Others have warned that the sound levels are not suitable for watching movies either, so if you are considering a purchase, you may want to make preparations with an external sound source.

On the whole though, this tablet has still received generally positive reviews. Let us know if you are thinking of getting one and for those that already have one – can you confirm the sound issues are happening to you as well?
