Acer Aspire Switch 10 SW5-012 Signature specs studied

By Daniel Chubb - Nov 27, 2014

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 SW5-012 64GB Signature Edition is a 2 in 1 PC that acts like a laptop, tablet, and a cross between these mobile computer devices as well. The hybrid mechanism is not only a sound idea, but it also works in real world testing hitting the sweet spot between size and mobility. The 10.1-inch HD touchscreen is perfect for mobile viewing and backed with up to 8 hours battery life, 2GB memory/64GB eMMC, and that Intel Atom Z3735F you can be sure this hybrid will deliver.

You might need to take a tablet with you and some computer users find these almost impossible to work on, so this is where the hybrid gets it right thanks to featuring the ability to become both devices while mobile.

Acer Aspire Switch 10 SW5-012 Signature specs – the memory powerhouse for a mobile device is thanks to a 2GB DDR3L-RS 1333MHz, the Intel Atom Z3735F can burst up to 1.83GHz, and the 64GB eMMC drive can be expanded with MicroSD media. The Intel HD Graphics look good but sadly share the system memory, the 2MP Acer Crystal Eye Full HD webcam will keep you snapping when needed, and you’ll also find Bluetooth, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Windows 8.1 with Bing, and 5-finger multi-touch support within the 1280×800 resolution 10.1 in IPS LCD.
