Watch Dogs Wii U graphics Vs PS4 surprise

By Alan Ng - Nov 25, 2014

With Watch Dogs now available on Wii U after a six month wait, there has been a lot said with regards to early Watch Dogs Wii U sales expectations.

While Nintendo has yet to comment officially, there is talk emerging that the sales are poor so far, with Wii U owners seemingly saving their money for Super Smash Bros Wii U instead which released in US last week and will arrive in Europe this week.

It’s a shame to see the negativity coming back in our opinion, as graphics wise Watch Dogs looks great and it seems as it Ubisoft has done a remarkable job getting those visuals on par with PS4 and Xbox One.

We’ve actually seen some feedback from certain corners who believe that the graphics look better on Nintendo’s console, which may reignite the debate on why the Wii U is treated so badly with regards to third-party games.

We’ve picked out a Watch Dogs Wii U graphics Vs PS4 video for you to watch, although you’ll have to make do with a foreign language for the voice scenes – apologies in advance as it’s the only reasonable video we could find, PS4 graphics on the left, Wii U on the right remember.

Check out the graphics between the two and let us know what you think. Watch Dogs on Wii U looks fantastic, so are you surprised about the early whispers suggesting that sales have been a disaster so far?

The MiiVerse population overall has had positive reviews of Watch Dogs. Most of them like the online features. But the MiiVerse population is disappointed that Ubisoft did not do more to integrate the gamepad. It does not take 6 months to incorporate an ‘interactive map’ and ‘off TV play’ for this. The overall spirit of MiiVerse is that Ubisoft’s own business decisions set this game up to fail. Little to none unique features, no Bad Blood DLC or Free Roam online play, etc. It was no wonder that there were no updates or examples of Wii U gameplay to the Nintendo consumers about this game. It’s almost like they did their little bit, then shelved it to release during the week of Smash Bros. With that kind of effort and thinking, it’s no wonder why it did not meet sales expectations.

Considering Ubisoft gimped the PS4 and PC version, this isn’t a surprise. If they would have pushed the PS4 version further, this would be a different article.

hmm, the WiiU actually looks a slight bit better IMO. But no.. Watch dogs was released at a horible time (most likely on purpose) as Smash is a much better game to get. Also watch dogs selling poorly tells more about the game and Ubisoft than what WiiU fans want.. Bayonetta 1&2 sold amazingly well everywhere so that alone tells you WiiU players want mature games and good quality ones.. Overall Watchdogs isn’t on the same level as Bayonetta, Bayonetta is much more worth getting.
