We have already talked about the many budget tablet brands to buy during the Holiday season, but what about buying a tablet for kids in 2014 as well? We now take a look at a Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition Vs 7-inch Nabi 2 review.

You know that kids can have a lot of fun with their tablet experience too, while enhancing their learning skills as well for educational purposes.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition and the Nabi 2 are two examples of tablets that are fantastic for kids, with the Nabi 2 being designed from the ground-up for children and Samsung’s popular Galaxy Tab 3 obviously modified to be more user friendly with children.

Starting with the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition, as specs include a 7-inch screen, 8GB of storage memory, a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, dual cameras and MicroSD support.

In terms of features for kids, it includes Samsung’s educational suite which offers a unique interface that is designed for children. There’s games to choose from such as Fruit Ninja, while exercises as well to complete to help them on the way with basic tasks.

Most importantly, the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition is very safe to use, as Samsung has included a special parental control option, allowing parents to select which areas of the tablet is accessible and which areas are locked away.

Meanwhile the Nabi 2 remains a very popular tablet with consumers who are looking to get their kids started with computing. This tablet also has a special user interface for kids, with the big addition of the Wings learning program.

Wings will evolve as your children get older, providing different levels of exercises which will assist in reading, writing and math.

When its time to play, the Nabi 2 has some unique features up their sleeves too, with a clever Nabi Coins system to reward children. These Coins can be used by the children themselves to purchase games and other fun features making it a great way to learn.

In terms of specs, the Nabi 2 is another 7-inch tablet. Nabi 2 specs are also more powerful than the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition, offering a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 Mobile Processor with 1GB of RAM instead.

Like the Galaxy Tab 3 7″ Kids Edition with its Yellow and Orange case, there’s 8GB of basic storage on the Nabi 2 with the option of expanding via MicroSD. It also has a front-facing camera and mini HDMI port so that you can hook up the tablet to the TV when you want to share the fun with the family.

You’ll be pleased to hear that both of these tablets will offer around 8 hours of usage as well on a single charge, which is fantastic for a tablet.
