ASUS 10.1-inch Transformer TF103C tablet review

If you are looking for a cheap tablet, but also want a tablet that has great performance, one brand that you may be interested in is ASUS’ lineup of Transformer tablets. With this in mind, we can now bring you a ASUS 10.1-inch VSU-102598673 tablet review as you’ll find this tablet at a low price this month, but a tablet that is head and shoulders above competition in the ‘budget’ category.

This is ASUS’ answer to providing an affordable tablet and it’s also a new addition to the company’s successful Transformer range of products. Unlike other budget tablets which are usually between 7-8 inches, the ASUS Transformer Pad TF103C-A1-BK is 10.1-inches in size and doubles up as both netbook and tablet.

As a result of the larger screen and design, you’ll be giving away some portability as this tablet is noticeably heavy at 556g, combined with a 10mm thickness.

Elsewhere though, the ASUS 10.1-inch TF103C tablet specs are pretty good. It features a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 Quad Core 1.86GHz processor, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

There is storage expansion available with MicroSD card up to 64GB, but the 10.1-inch display is not full HD with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels only. There is a 2 megapixel camera on the back and also a 0.3MP camera on the front – again perhaps disappointing given that this is a trusted brand.

Battery life is reasonable too for a budget tablet, as ASUS promises up to 9 hours on a single charge, which is a lot more mileage than what other tablets offer.

There’s also Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box with this ASUS 16GB 10.1″ Tablet, so there’s always a chance of an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop next year.

We’ve seen this model with a retail price of around $250, but we also know that there will be a significant discount on it for a limited period this month.

Put it this way, if you can find this tablet for well under $200, would you be interested in buying one, given that it is built by ASUS so you know that you can be calm in the fact that you are buying from a reputable computer maker?

To help make the decision easier, we’ve picked out a selection of ASUS 10.1-inch TF103C-A1-BK tablet reviews for you to watch below. Take a look and let us know what you think as this is the first time that ASUS has introduced a tablet at such a low-price point.
