Review of Vizio 60-inch E600i-B3 LED HDTV specs

By Daniel Chubb - Nov 17, 2014

The Vizio 60-inch E600i-B3 LED HDTV has received mixed reactions thanks to its form factor from a side view when compared to other televisions. With that said, we wanted to review the finer specs for this Vizio 60-inch Smart LED HDTV thanks to a lower price point that still includes full 1080p and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Many of our readers can’t stretch to the higher prices seen with LED TVs sporting high-end technology and extremely thin frames, especially when this purchase will be for a second television or a gift for children. The new 2014 E-Series 60-inch full-array LED Smart TV still features an ultra-narrow 10mm frame, although as you can see from the sideview below, it quickly hits a thicker point at 2.53-inches in depth that can deceive some shoppers.

The side view below is still pretty thin, but not the full 10mm all the way down like some would hope. In many cases, you will need to pay a few hundred dollars more to gain both the higher specs and overall thinner form factor.

The key features and specs – This Vizio TV includes Internet Apps Plus for instant viewing of new TV Shows, movies, music, and TV shows. There’s an LED backlight benefiting from superior picture performance thanks to x16 Active LED Zones, which adjust dynamically per zone to the LED backlight. This means the picture will deliver the deepest blacks and a higher contrast.

You will also find built-in Wi-Fi, as we mentioned above a 120Hz refresh rate for fast action scenes, an impressive 5 million to 1 dynamic contrast ratio, DTS Studio Sound for deep bass and simulated surround sound, a 30 percent thinner profile, and an Ambient Light Sensor to adjust the display based on your room lighting.

If you want to see the user manual once you purchased the TV, then this isn’t a problem thanks to it being built-in within the menu system. The technical specs list is detailed below.
