LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update for US, UK

By Alan Ng - Nov 11, 2014

While many may still be waiting for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 Android 5.0 Lollipop update to arrive, we have some excellent news to bring to LG G3 owners today. LG has just announced that the LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update release date is here, with Google’s latest software ready to roll out this week.

As far as we’re aware though, not everyone is going to be able to enjoy the Lollipop goodness at the same time. LG has just sent out a press release confirming that the update will go live this week, but only for one country – Poland.

We’re not sure what makes Poland so special, but we’re treating it as a nice heads-up that it essentially tells us that the LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update for US, UK is very close too.

If LG live up to their promise of Lollipop this week, it is also unique in the fact that the LG G3 will be updated to the latest version of Android before some Nexus devices – very impressive by LG we have to say if that’s the case.

Where LG may not enjoy the popularity of other Android handsets made by Samsung, LG are definitely doing their reputation the world of good by updating G3 owners to Lollipop at the earliest opportunity.

We just need a confirmation on when other countries will be part of the rollout – we feel slightly jealous seeing Polish users getting the update first.
