By Peter Chubb - Nov 10, 2014

If you are on the market for a tablet that fits between the Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 and do not want to pay too much money, then the Apollo RCA 8″ tablet with quad-core processor could be just what you are looking for. You have to remember there will be sacrifices to make, such as certain specs will be lower, and its software will not be the latest, which at the moment is Android 5.0 Lollipop, but this budget tablet runs 4.4 KitKat.

We did hope to come up with a few sources offering a hands-on review of the Apollo 8-inch RCT6573W23 Android tablet , but there does not seem to be any. However we did come across one that introduces us to this model and gives us the lowdown on a device designed for fun and those with less disposable income.

What we can offer you is a review of its specs and once you have gone over them we would like to know if you feel it has what it takes to persuade you to part with your hard earned money.

Specs and features – 8-inch multitouch screen, 720 x 480 resolution, LCD backlit display, up to 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of Ram, 8GB or storage, USB 2.0, built-in webcam and a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera. RCA claim that it has a battery life of up to 6 hours, although this is down to what you will be doing with this tablet.

Other software included is Google Play and WPS Office. If you are considering purchasing the RCA Apollo 8 RCT6573W23, then you can view the manual to get a better understanding of this particular model. Even though this is not a new model, this would make a perfect gift for someone.
