By Alan Ng - Nov 8, 2014

If you are planning on picking up a budget TV this month for a discounted price, one of the brands that you are probably looking at is Westinghouse. TVs from this brand are offered every year for amazing prices, but the Westinghouse 55-inch DWM55F1Y1 TV model in particular may be one that is too tempting to turn down.

This TV usually sells for a fantastic price at various retailers throughout November, as long as you keep your eyes open and make preparations to get one before anyone else.

We do have one word of warning though about the 55-inch model mentioned above. While the Westinghouse 55-inch 1080p LED HDTV DWM55F1Y1 is a fantastic TV with full 1080p HD resolution, the sound quality may be below your expectations.

We have spotted various Westinghouse 55-inch DWM55F1Y1 TV reviews here which all talk about poor sound quality. As a result, if you are planning to buy this model in November, you may want to pick up a sound bar as well so that you have an alternative sound source if the built-in Westinghouse speakers are not up to scratch.

Otherwise, it’s an excellent option as a gaming TV or living room replacement. Other Westinghouse 55-inch DWM55F1Y1 TV specs include a 3,200-4,000:1 contrast ratio, 1.07G True Display Colors for an enhanced picture quality, one USB input and 3 HDMI ports.

Let us know if you are considering this model. For those that have already purchased a Westinghouse TV model, do you agree that sound quality is the biggest drawback?
