There are so many brands of televisions to choose from and so it makes your job much tougher to choose the right one, but once you have set aside a budget and what sort of specs you need, then your job is made so much simpler. It is this preparation that allows you to narrow your choice down, and so if you have a budget approaching the $1,000 mark and wish to have a TV model that has a high refresh rate because you are into fast-paced sports, then the VIZIO 60 M602I-B3 240Hz HDTV could very well be the right one for you.

While it still may be a cheaper brand than Samsung, this VIZIO seems to offer the same in terms of beautiful design with a premium look and finish. However, it is its specs and features that impresses, especially as they defy its price tag.

Main VIZIO 60 M602I-B3 features are VIZIO Internet Apps Plus to allow you to enjoy even more content online, such as movies, TV shows and also apps. Active Pixel Tuning that automatically adjusts the picture settings on the TV to get the best image possible based on the content you are watching. The 32 Active LED Zones also has a helping hand in that department. Clear Action 720 is the system that also uses the 240Hz effective refresh rate to make sure images are processed at a much faster rate.

The 20 million to 1 DCR gives VIZIO’s 60-inch TV deeper blacks and a higher contrast rate, as well as radiant whites. There are also a selection of models for audio and picture quality for those that cannot be bothered to set these manually.

As you can see, this TV does have so much to offer and even though it is not the latest TV model, it will make an ideal gift at this time of year, especially as the price could start to fall very soon. If your budget cannot stretch this much, you may have to look for a smaller panel TV, and the Westinghouse 55-inch DWM55F1Y1 TV could be just what you need.
